Follow up on Thomas Beatie’s pregnancy

Thomas Beattie and his baby Susan JulietteWith all the time we didn’t update this blog, Thomas Beatie the pregnant transgender finally had a baby… On June 29 at 8:55 p.m., Thomas Beattie, 34, the first legally transgender male to give birth, brought into the world a beautiful baby girl. The baby’s name is Susan Juliette. She weighed in at 9 lbs. and 5 oz. Well, even though this deserves a lot of discussion on every aspect, I’ve no much words about it, just think that giving life is a miracle and therefore shouldn’t be restricted to women or men or anything in between. I can see some trouble in the baby’s future life, but with love and caring everything will be fine

A woman with hair and no breast gave birth to this child. Not a man.

Men don’t have wombs. Men don’t want to give birth, though they do want children.

Even is “Thomas” is anatomically correct, her DNA is still female. No hormones or surgery can change that.

I’ve polled a lot of men and asked, “do you want to give birth?” Nope. To a man. Nope.

This story is misleading. The child is loved, I’m sure, but she has two-mommies.
